What is it about weddings that gets us so obsessed?

I was not the kind of girl who had always dreamed about her wedding.

But shortly after Noel proposed, I couldn’t stop thinking about weddings. It wasn’t because I wanted to be a princess or because I wanted to carry out a tradition. It was because a wedding is a celebration of something very magical, LOVE.

I wanted our wedding to tell a bonafied love story. I perused hundreds of wedding blogs for ideas and inspirations on how to create a personal and creative wedding. The more I dove into the wedding world, the more captivated I became. Couples everywhere were telling their love story in unconventional and personal ways. They were getting married in apple orchards and treehouses. And instead of banquet receptions, they had casual garden parties and cozy campfire gatherings.

I was completely amazed, not only by the unique ways in which people celebrated love, but also by the labor of love that go into every detail of a wedding from the invitation to the photography to the food.

Swoon was created to share with you the delightful experiences that go into the making of a wedding: the creative, original, and meaningful expressions of love.
