A great engagement shoot tells a story, and Valerie’s and Mani’s story definitely shines in this cute and quirky vintage inspired engagement shoot.
Valerie and Mani are Houstonites who love music, food, and walking their pug, Tofu, in local parks. Since they are creative and eclectic, it was important to Valerie and Mani that their photographer think outside the box.
They chose Sadia Zubair because of her background shooting creative people and also because she doesn’t specialize in weddings.
Since I know a lot of creative wedding photographers, it was really intriguing to me that Valerie chose Sadia Zubair for her unconventional approach. Valerie said that unlike conventional wedding photographers, Sadia gave less directions during her engagement shoot and as a result, “She captured us being us.”
What factors are important to you in a photoshoot? Would you prefer your photographer to direct you or allow you be in your element? Is creativity as important as or perhaps more important than experience?
