A couple weeks ago, Love Olio and Artaquis Photography teamed up to giveaway a free engagement shoot and today I’m happy to announce the lucky winners, Linda & Bill!
Linda’s engagement story is super sweet. This is what she shared in the comments:
“The moment I felt the most love from my fiance was when he proposed. I was completely surprised! He chose everything that was “ME” and he made it truly special. He made sure to prepare the day so that I would love each moment, and I did.
We went to an amazing restaurant at a resort, so we were beachfront. We love the beach, and I am a cancer (a water sign), so I love water. The night was magical. We were sitting outside in a secluded place because we like to be a bit private. I had heat lamps all around me so that I wouldn’t be cold. He made sure of it. He planned the night with the restaurant one week in advance. He called my girlfriend a month before the day to contact her regarding my ring size and what I would want. He included my best friend in every part; it was so sweet. They were so sly.
He called my brother to let him know, and he even met with my Dad. I love that! It topped everything. He asked me to marry him in Chocolate because on our first date, he asked me ‘If I were stranded on an island, and I can bring food with me, what would it be?’ Well, chocolate is not food, but I said CHOCOLATE. I LOVE CHOCOLATE!!! I love desserts.
My fiance asked me to marry him in my favorite food, on a beautiful place, with great ambiance. He made sure my family was involved and my best friend too. That was the sweetest. Also, he spent what he could to give me what I would love. The ring was perfect, the night was perfect, and he is perfect for me. I loved it! After my brother saw the propsal pictures, he said…wow – That is the happiest I have ever seen you in your entire life. I couldn’t agree more. I felt love from my honey and my family and friends’ support made it even better. This is truly love. I was laughing and crying because it was love and happiness.”

Basamba came to visit San Diego all the way from Germany and I’m glad we were able to pull this together in the short time he was here. I’m also looking forward to meeting up with him this Sunday! Yay!

I am so happy for you guys, the pictures are gorgeous! I am truly thankful for all that you have done for my brother. You have made him in to the man he never thought he could be. I always hoped and prayed that he would find happiness, and my prayers came true with you! You are so sweet and generous and I couldn’t of asked for a better sister in law.
