10 Things You Swoon Over with The Charity Wedding

Here at Swoon, we’re all about unique and inspiring wedding ideas, and Alicia’s blog, The Charity Wedding, truly tops my own list of what I consider truly unique and inspiring.

Alicia & Kyle did something very different with their chosen wedding theme: they made it all about giving back to the community. As a result, their day created far reaching impact for many people all around the world. Check out the results of Alicia’s and Kyle’s fundraising efforts here.

And if you’d like to learn more about how you can make a difference, Alicia’s got lots of helpful tips and ideas, as well as a ton of lovely wedding inspirations.

And here are 1o things that inspire Alicia:

1. Arizona Vineyards: Or any vineyards really but they are much more rare and unexpected in Arizona. A field of green grapes is a huge contrast against a brown desert! Plus- where there is a vineyard, there is wine!

2. Fabric Flowers- I can’t get enough of this trend and the fact that they will last forever.

3. Statement necklaces: For your wedding or just for a night out, when done right they look stunning!

4. Milk Glass- I’m obsessed! I stalk thrift stores waiting for new pieces that I can pick up for a few bucks!

5. Garlands- Whether it is bunting, fabric or flowers- I LOVE them!

6. Burlap- The uses are endless and it looks great just about anywhere!

7. Black and White Photography- It seems so timeless and classic and with the right image, it can look even more striking than the color version.

8. Snow covered mountains- Or even just mountains in general. They are so majestic.

9. Chalkboards- Functional and super easy to make! I love to re-purpose something old by adding a little bit of chalkboard paint and voila it has a new life! clip_image002[35]{image via Wedding Bee}

10. My Little Family- Completed by my husband and my sweet dog, Charlie. I can’t get enough of these two.

I followed some of Alicia’s links here like the one to Hank & Hunt and found myself starting to get all sidetracked by all the DIY inspirations. She’s got really great blogs listed here so don’t be afraid to wander. It’s well worth it!

p.s. Alicia’s dog is freaking ADORABLE. He gives my JJ a run for his money!
