Wedding Gown Cleaning and Preservation Giveaway!

Darlings, I have finally recovered from being cutefied and officially back! Our little addition to the family is now very well adjusted. And we’re adjusted to him too. Now that we’re both settled in, I’m ready to resume my favorite hobby, blogging about weddings.

And what better way to kick start the blog again than with a wonderful giveaway by Wedding Gown Preservations!

Before I went on my peternity leave, a couple months ago I tested out an online wedding gown cleaning and preservation service. I trashed my dress and sent it off to Affordable Preservations Co.

Well, my dress came back and voila!

  2. hilary chadwick says:

I would love to win this because 17 months later, I still haven’t had my dress preserved! I know it’s terrible, but I live in Hawaii and customer service is not the greatest. I am afraid they will ruin my dress. If I don’t win I will use this service anyway, your dress looks amazing!

  3. Aisling says:

My granddaughter is getting married in June (between college graduation and grad school) and they are being incredibly frugal with their plans. (Largely because they have no money and living in dorm rooms currently, they have no household goods either.) I know she’d love to have her dress preserved, but there’s no money in the budget for that, so this would be a wonderful gift.

  4. Roger Keeney says:

What a great gift, we were married 3 weeks ago, and Kim has been telling me about such gown preservation, a new concept to me.

  5. Nicole Salazar says:

I would like to win and have my dress preserved in hopes that one day my daughter would like to wear it down the aisle. I would of proudly worn my mother’s dress if she would of stored and preserved it for me… it was absolutely stunning. Thank you!

I have a niece that made her special day special for everyone else and I would love to gift this to her

  9. Thao says:

I would love to win this for my best friend who is getting married in October because her and her fiancee have been living together for 5 years and she has finally decided this is the year. Being that there is no monetary help from her family and she is a student planning on graduation in dec (i know the timing is crazy but she wants a fall wedding hahha) so the less monetary stress the better

  10. Jessica says:

I would love to win because I got married in October 09 and have been procrastinating getting it done forever.

  11. Kelly Ann T. says:

Since my wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life, I would love to win this giveaway to preserve it.

  12. Justine says:

My wedding was back in June of 2008. It rained all morning on my outdoor wedding (with no backup plan!) and I had a nice amount of mud on the underside of the dress. I never had it preserved due to financial costs and now I’m really regretting never doing so. I would be so pleased to have it back in shape — I adore the dress!

  13. I would love to have my dress preserved! I was married almost 2 years ago and haven’t found the time or money to preserve it and it’s so pretty and I’d love to keep it that way! I walked through chocolate {or dog poo, not sure which but I’m too scared to do the sniff test}. I would love my future daughter to be able to wear it, or rip it up and use the fabric, or just have it! I would loveeee itttttt! woo hoo!

  14. Jann says:

I live in the UAE, and I’m getting married in 11-11-11. They don’t offer this kind of service here and I would really love to be able to preserve my dress because I would love to give this to my future daughter or daughter in law (if she likes) and start that tradition in our family! My mom and MIL didn’t have wedding dresses so I would love to have this tradition to hand over in the future. Thanks!

  15. deana c says:

I would love to win this because it has been 18 years since my wedding and I had never had my dress professionally cleaned and boxed at the time. Everytime I look at it hanging in my attic I wish I had had it preserved!

  16. brandy Hancock says:

I would love to have the kit. My daughter loves the dress I am getting for my wedding and I would love to be able to put it up for my daughter or grandaughter to wear. I am having a different type of wedding dress and could really use this.

  17. Jennie Guthrie says:

I want to say I think everyone deserves to win. With that said I would love to win this contest because I am gettting my dress from Brides for Breast Cancer at the end of the month for our wedding in April 2012. Brides for Breast Cancer gets dresses donated and all funds from the dresses go to grant wishes for women in stage four cancer. After the wedding I will be donating the dress back to Brides for Breast Cancer so that this great program can grant more wishes. I would love to be able to preserve the dress in the best way so that when I donate it back its in great shape for the next lucky bride. bridesforbreastcancer.com

  18. Cynthia R Cejka says:

Since I was a little girl-I’ve dreamed of this day. I was never married to my girls’ father. BEing a single mother-my girls and I’ve have grown so very strong and close. They have played a great part in the planning and bringing to life our dreams for this fairy-tale wedding. I would like a high quality preservation for my, and now “OUR” dream/princess gown so that its stays as beautiful as the day I wear it-as they day both of my girls will on their day. It’s begining of a little tradition of our own, representing the end of an era of close and good, but often stressfula dn struggling times. A symbol of new beginings.

  19. Odette says:

I’d love to have my gown preserved because I’d love to make it a heirloom for my future children. I chose a classic lace dress with a satin top which I’m sure will still be beautiful for years to come.

  20. Courtney says:

Hi! I would love to win this because my big brother always joked about how I was such a tomboy that I would never keep my wedding dress clean…he was murdered when I was 16 and now I am 24 and getting married to the man of my dreams on May 22. I would love to do a trash the dress session since they do them now in memory of my brother but I don’t want to ruin my dress that I was keeping for my daughter or daughter in law one day! Thank you for the chance and God bless! (fingers crossed)

  21. Marlene Lechuga says:

will be the day of blissful celebration.
This gown, the attire of sweet love,
    kept forever if granted preservation.

  22. Sara McLaren says:

I would love my dress to be perseved because of the fond memories I have dressing up in my mothers growing up. My sister and I would pretend we were getting married and spend hours in the attic just having fun. It’s something I want my childern to experiece and be apart of their parents history that will become the root of their lives.

  23. Rizza Escobar says:

My gown is oh so white, and I am a blushing bride.

I would love to surprise my fiance with this gift of keeping my wedding dress beautiful for the rest of our lives. We are getting married in May 2012, after meeting one brief time, 10 years ago. We never saw eachother again until August 2010 when we reconnected through a mutual friend that we did not know we had. It was instant. We knew, it was meant to be. The fact that he had thought about me all those years, it’s a love story that continues and will for the rest of our lifetimes.

  26. Deb K says:

My hubby and I have been married for 30 years, and my wedding dress has never been properly stored, due to him being in the military (for 26 yrs) and our constant moving from base to base. I would love to have this chance to restore my gown to it’s once long ago splendor.

I’m worried about the state of my wedding gown. I had it cleaned and preserved after our wedding in 1992; my mom had made it for me, so I wanted to keep it looking good. Well, we unwrapped it the other day, and I was looking into the window and it looked like it might be yellowing. I would love to be able to have someone look at it and make sure it’s still in good shape.

  35. Dina says:

  39. Summer says:

I would love to win because my dress is just sitting in the dress bag and I want to be able to preserve it and not have to worry about it getting ruined. I absolutely loved my dress. The first time I put it on, I knew it was the one I would marry my husband in. Hopefully, my daughter will be able to enjoy it and wear it when she gets married one day.
