More Budget Centerpiece Ideas: Branches and Paper Flowers

It seems Andrea and I are on a flower alternative roll!

Simple branches can make a big statement, especially when they stand alone in pretty vases. But don’t worry, you don’t have to spend a fortune on vases. I collected many vintage vases from thrift shops at little cost. Ikea and CB2 are also great sources for cute, quirky shaped vases. Even simple green bottles make for wonderful centerpieces.

Paper florals never wilt and are great keepsakes!

What about the bridal bouquet? How about dried lavender? This bunch from Napa Valley is just $10.

Just some food for thought ;) We promise we have nothing against fresh flowers! I promise to post on how to save on real flowers arrangements soon!

I really like the one that incorporates the wedding favor into the centerpiece. That's a brilliant, kill two birds with one stone!!!

I like the first one. I've always wanted to do something with manzanita branches and this reminds me of it.

those yellow paper flowers are GORGEOUS! I just read an email that you had sent to east side bride, and I feel your pain! It's hard to garner interested folks in a space so large, and with so many other interesting people! Just wanted to say that your blog is lovely, and I wish I would have found it before I got married six months ago! It would have been most helpful.

Awww, thanks for the sweet comment, Emma! That made my day!

I was chatting with another friend who wanted to start a food blog and we laughed about the fact that it seems everyone had a viewpoint of some kind to share on the web! it makes it pretty daunting, which is why i had to get some advice from esb.

but blogging for me is 50% personal creative outlet and 50% sharing ideas with a community, so i think i'd probably still do it if months from now, no one is reading lol.

but like meg said, they all started with 0 readers…so we'll get there in several years :P
