My name is Melissa, and I am a visual storyteller based in Athens, Georgia. After working for a pair of newspapers and NBC in New York City, I have made the transition to wedding photography and portraiture full time. My love for people and belief in the power of storytelling has always served as the driving force behind my passion. I am constantly inspired by the love and beauty in the world. I always describe my style as documentary with an artistic flair. Using my background in photojournalism, my approach to weddings is to capture those unplanned moments that tend to be the most special, while still being creative with formal portraiture. My goal is to have my clients look back at their story of photographs and have all their emotions come back to them. The wedding day can be a blur, which is why I like to preserve every second of it.
