Janice & Damon ran into each other at Bay to Breakers in 2008. For those of you who don't know about this race, it's a 12K from the San Francisco Bay on the east of the city to the Pacific on the west side of the city. There are some world class athletes who take the race seriously but mainly, it's a big city-wide party and an opportunity to wear awesome costumes. Janice and her friends were dressed as sister wives (super costume) when she saw Damon and he somehow recognized her from when they worked together many years ago. They set a date to catch up and were soon free diving for abalone near Fort Bragg. What an adventurous way to get to know someone.
