There was so much about this wedding to fall in love with: the rock ‘n’ roll theme, the letterpress invites, the wonderful handpainted bridal Chucks which I could not stop gushing over (done by Gela, another bride of ours and Rose’s bridesmaid), so many people getting choked up during the bridal walk, the reception details, the fact that they decided to skip the first dance and have a first Rock Band song instead… I could go on forever.
But what really sticks out the most is how Rose was just one of the happiest brides EVER. I have never seen a bride smile and laugh that much in my life. She was radiating enough warmth and happiness to light up the room, and heaven knows we needed it then. It was the foggiest we’ve ever seen Tagaytay that day. And Cholo, well, I have to say I’ve never seen a groom cry that much before. Haha. But they were tears of profound joy, and it was completely, utterly disarming.
