He was nice. She was nicer. It was the 7th grade. They were friends.
They stayed friends through high school, until one day they started looking at each other a little differently. Chirping started about the junior dance, and Laura waited for Jake to ask her. Obviously, she was fighting off guys left and right, and in a moment of impatience, she boldly asked Jake to be her date. He really WAS going to ask, and since that night, they’ve been together!
I couldn’t be happier for these two. Particularly because Laura’s one of my closest cousins, and we’ve come to know and love Jake over the years. We had a perfect day to shoot, and started with bath-time in their Morristown backyard and the cutest golden retriever, Shea! He’s such a crack up!
After lunch, we headed out to the shore where Laura used to drive out with her friends every summer.
