This was cute. Endearing.
Early on in their mansion wedding on long island New York, in Roslyn, the bride wanted a few moments early in the day, to give her husband-to-be a little surprise gift on his wedding day.
A watch. Not just any watch, but a vest pocket watch.
A particular vest pocket watch that the groom had his eye on – I think it may have had a particular meaning for him.
It was meaningful enough that his bride had noticed his attachment to this piece and got him the one he wanted, wishing to surprise him with it.
I think it reminded him of his beloved grandfather.
What small tokens we have in our lives to remind us of the great ones we miss.
How sweet when someone near to us notices what’s dear to us and gifts us a piece of our life.
This was great to photograph as it unfolded.
